Pastor Michael Deckman
Evangelist, July 21–July 27
Michael Deckman along with his wife, Lori, serve as ministry overseer of WayLife Community, in Mountain Top, PA. Pastor Michael has served in ministry across various capacities for over 20 years. He most recently served as associate pastor and worship leader at sister church, Nanticoke Christian Fellowship, before he and Lori received the call to start WayLife in their own home in 2019. Michael and Lori became cottageholders in 2021 and have two grown children. Pastor Michael looks forward to sharing the Word at Patterson Grove.
Pastor Greg Stokes
Evangelist, July 28–August 4
Pastor Greg Stokes and his wife of 24 years, JoAnn, come to us from Pen Argyl, PA where he has served as Lead Pastor for 5 years. Pastor Greg became a Christian at 12 and was called to ministry at 15. He graduated from Bible College in 1993 and has served in many ministries including youth ministry, addiction counseling, and college campus ministry. JoAnn and he are parents to 5 children. Pastor Greg’s desire is to share His word in such a way that people may see Jesus as they never have, to live for him as they always should.

David, a cottage holder for 15 years, married into the Patterson Grove family 35 years ago. Holding master’s degrees in both theology and music, he has taught the Bible and conducted choirs for more than 30 years. He currently serves as pastor of Providence Community Church and choir director at Ulrich Intermediate School in the greater Houston area.
Brenda Nighbert
Pianist and Choir Director
July 21–August 4
Brenda lives in Forty Fort, Pa. and has been in show business for over 35 years and gospel music her entire life. Brenda serves as Organist/Pianist in three churches. Throughout her career she has directed, conducted, and/or accompanied various performances at high schools, colleges, and professional theater in the region. In addition to accompanying evening worship on piano, she will be directing the campmeeting choir.
Randy and Josey Brendle

Randy and Josey bring years of music and ministry experience to the Grove. They are brand new cottageholders and look forward to serving at this year’s Campmeeting.

Join us in the Boarding Hall for an invigorating Adult Bible Study, Monday to Friday starting at 9:30. Dive deep into scripture, engage in meaningful discussions, and grow in faith alongside a welcoming community eager to learn. Uncover new insights, share your perspectives, and make connections that will enrich your spiritual journey. We can’t wait to explore the Word with you!
Rob Barron
Bible Study Leader

From Bloomsburg, Pa., Rob loves sharing the Good News and getting into the Word together. He continues to lead Adult Sunday School for Patterson Grove and looks forward to bringing a week long study in the first week of Campmeeting.
Kathy Harvey Nelson
Bible Study Leader
July 29–August 2
Rev. Dr. Kathy Harvey Nelson is a graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary where she is currently the Coordinator of Ministerial Studies and Adjunct Professor. She is an Ordained Elder and has served as a Local Church Pastor in the UMC. She teaches formation classes for the PATHWAYS UCC program. In her semi-retirement, she loves to travel, read, play the piano, and spend time with her dog, Starr.
Week 2 Bible Study Preview:
We’ll be in the final week of Campmeeting. Maybe you enjoyed reconnecting with family and friends around food and fellowship, and maybe you found some refreshment of your Spirit in the Presence of God, or maybe you really took a step toward a closer relationship with God than you’ve had in the past. Now, you’re seeing this special, amazing time draw to a close and you might be thinking just how am I going to hold onto the “high” I experienced here at Patterson Grove?
You’re invited to join us in Week Two of Bible Study, Monday through Friday from 9:30-11, where we’ll share together around “Been to Campmeeting – NOW What?!” We’ll look at both Scripture texts and some traditional practices that might help us keep our hearts and minds focused on Christ, even when life comes at us hard . How do some people maintain their center when it seems like everything is set up to get us to lose our cool? Come out to our Bible Study and let’s work together to discover ways to remain close to God, growing as we continue the walk we began when we arrived at Campmeeting.
Youth Programs
Come join us for an unforgettable experience with our Senior and Junior Youth programs, Monday–Friday during Campmeeting! Starting at 10:00 each day, we have an action-packed schedule filled with games, exciting biblical learning and adventure. Don’t for get about afternoon fun and the legendary Night Games that are waiting for you!
Get ready for two weeks of fun, friendship, and adventures that will be remembered for a lifetime! Our Junior Youth team is for rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders, and our Senior Youth team is for rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders and includes several offsite activities.
Erich and Andrea Thomas
Senior and Junior Youth Leaders
Erich and Andrea have been ministering at Sunshine Full Gospel church in Huntington Mills, Pa. Erich studied with Global University and The Institute for Expository Preaching prior to being Ordained in 2023, and Andrea studied with Liberty University in Christian Ministry. They are currently the Worship Leaders and conduct the Children’s Ministry at Sunshine Full Gospel, along with leading the Youth Ministry. Erich will lead Senior Youth and Andrea will lead Junior Youth.
Josh Cross
Senior Youth Assistant Leader
Josh is the Assistant Athletic Director at York Catholic high school in York, Pa. He enjoys sports and being at the Grove relaxing and growing spiritually. Josh has grown up at Patterson Grove for 30+ years and always enjoys helping with whatever needs to be worked on.
Coley Harvey
Junior Youth Assistant Leader
Coley is excited for her second summer at the Grove and is thrilled to serve as a youth leader. She has always enjoyed working with kids and was a Troop Leader for years. Coley loves sitting on her porch listening to the birds while crocheting stuffies and blankets for her family.

Patterson Grove offers a wonderful vacation bible school each summer during campmeeting. For both weeks of campmeeting, from 9:15 to 11:30AM each day, Monday through Friday we have a fun and engaging program for children from ages 4 through 12.

Jennifer Smith
Vacation Bible School Director
‘Miss Jen’ is excited for her eleventh year as VBS Director, 22nd year as a cottageholder, and second year as a Trustee for Patterson Grove. Jen keeps busy teaching second grade for the Union Springs Central School District and is active in her school and home community. She and Ralph will celebrate 38 years of marriage in November. Last year, they welcomed their first granddaughter.
Kami Harvey
Vacation Bible School Assistant Director
Kami is excited for her first year as VBS assistant! She has been coming to Patterson Grove all her life, taking part in VBS as a child as well as the other youth programs at Patterson Grove. Kami keeps busy running a small business, being a mom to Haysley who is 1 year old, and spending time with her family.
