Saturday, October 18 is Fall Clean-Up Day (lunch will be provided!)

All cottages are expected to participate in our fall and spring clean up efforts.  We hope to see representatives from all cottages on Saturday, 10/18.

If you are raking before 10/18– a tip! ‘Icing like a cake’

If you are at the Grove prior to clean up and want to help with leaf removal, we urge you to focus on areas between cottages, up close and near to cottages and any other areas not reachable by our mowing/leaf collecting equipment.  

Also, our leaf removal equipment has a hard time with big piles (or even small ones) and is much more likely to get clogged or broken if the leaves are in piles.  If you are raking, definitely set aside any sticks or rocks.  Leaves are easiest to suck up if they are spread more like ‘icing on a cake’ than ‘piled like snow.’  Dense areas of leaves that can be driven on by the mower are perfect.  Please pile rocks or sticks at the base of trees for pick up by the garden cart.
